Travis Skaggs gets ready for the
1.24 mile swim. The water and air
temperature was 60 degrees.

The 56 mile bike course was on the
Alaska Highway starting about 40 miles south of
Fairbanks.

stayed at the Salcha River Lodge the night before
the triathlon and the night after. It was a
great lodge only a couple of miles from the race
start. |

Harwick is enjoying the very hot spring fed
outdoor pool at Chena Hot Springs located 60 miles
East of Fairbanks Alaska. The waterfall has
very cold water.
